Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Weighmaster to join our team in Athens, Il.

What You'll Get to Do:
Assist customers at the service window, offers product information, prints tickets for customers and deliveries, answer phones, take standard FOB (Freight On-Board) orders, perform general office duties, and provide courteous customer service. Operates the vehicle scale by performing the following:
• Verifies job assignments previously scheduled by the dispatcher and attaches scheduled trucks to the appropriate order number
• Notifies drivers of the product to be loaded as necessary
• Weighs loaded trucks and prints the customer's ticket for signature
• Maintains radio communication with loader operators and drivers. Acts as the liaison between the drivers, dispatchers, and load operators relaying pertinent information as needed.
• Answers phones, promotes customer service, offers product information and pricing to drop-in customers
• Collects CODs from drivers and FOB (Freight On-Board) customers, then records information onto the COD forms by:
o Envelope number
o Ticket number
o Ticket amount
o Amount collected.
• Runs credit card sales by typing in required information into the credit card machine, and records the information onto the COD report
• Processes the courier bags daily for shipment to the main office
• Runs end-of-day reports
• Perform service-related duties as needed
• Assist with AP invoice data entry and Monthly inventory process
What We Are Looking For:
• Microsoft Word and Excel; Knowledge of Kronos and SAP preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situations
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work extended hours and irregular schedules
• Ability to sit for long periods, stand and lift boxes occasionally
Work Environment:
• Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
