SRE (NoSQL)About Your Business Area/Department:
The NoSQL, Streaming, and Queuing Platforms (NSQ) Department provides operational platforms to support Amadeus core products from a NoSQL and Queuing perspective. Our systems are designed to be cost-effective, easily deployable, scalable, and resilient to errors. The department plays a significant role in the migration to Microsoft Azure.
Our teams work using the SAFe methodology and are spread across various locations and time zones, fostering daily interactions with colleagues from different sites.
Summary of the Role:
As a SRE, you will support and continuously evolve our methods for deploying and running day-2 operations on infrastructure supporting NoSQL data stores (Couchbase, Redis, MongoDB). This role focuses on ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of existing and future applications using NoSQL. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product, and Architecture, to ensure the highest level of quality and performance in our applications.

Basic Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on automation.Experience with automation ecosystems to manage enterprise-grade data stores.Additional Qualifications and Skills:
Aptitude in managing NoSQL technologies, such as MongoDB, Couchbase, or Redis, in a critical, highly available enterprise operation.Business Understanding:
Understanding the impact that critical systems have on the overall business of a company.Computing:
Skills to troubleshoot complex database engine performance or technical issues.Collaborate with and understand the infrastructure team dependencies on the database environment.Skills to plan and execute tasks related to maintenance, upgrades, failovers, and other database system sustaining activities as required.
Languages:
Specific Knowledge:
Knowledge of hardware, operating systems, and storage technologies.Skill in various scripting languages.Problem-solving skills and the capacity to work in abstract situations.Understanding of capacity management concepts and techniques.Other industry certifications such as SAFe or ITILWhat we can offer you:
