AllianceBernstein is seeking a Strategic Relationship Manager to join the Strategic Relationship Group. The Strategic Relationship Group is responsible for the research coverage, home office relationships, and developing the firm’s strategy for the U.S. Intermediary business. The position will be primarily focused on AllianceBernstein’ s efforts to increase market share with Independent Broker Dealers, TAMPs, and Custodians. AllianceBernstein would prefer the Strategic Relationship Manager candidate be based in the New York area.
The Strategic Relationship Manager will partner with a Relationship Associate to identify mutually beneficial alliances with both existing strategic partners as well as potential new affiliations. This individual will be expected to act as owner/operator around resource expenditures. This Strategic Relationship team will also work with a Research Relations partner to identify and prioritize research coverage opportunities and model allocations for an investment management firm responsible for $800 billion in AUM in a wide range of strategies and structures, including mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, and alternative investments. The professional will be responsible for the communication strategy for their focus firms with the divisional sales managers, field sales teams, internal sales teams, and senior leadership at AllianceBernstein.
What You’ll Do:
Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Understanding our firm’s mission and values as well as product offerings in the U.S.Retail market
Engaging in all aspects of client prospecting and servicing and ensuring accurate and timely completion of client requests
Developing strategic account plans aimed at strengthening relationships with partner firms and driving sales
Coordinating client due diligence and prospecting meetings, including preparation with senior portfolio managers and development of presentation books
Liaising with internal business units, including Field Sales, Marketing, Strategic Sales, Operations, and Product Development to communicate partner firm updates and initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate should have:
A BS or BA; preferably with a background in economics, finance, or business administration
10+ years of industry experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Curious intellect and an ability to think as a business owner
Highly organized and detail oriented
Strong project management skills with the ability to see things through from beginning to completion
Ability to multi-task and manage to tight deadlines
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team setting
Proficient in Microsoft office suite - Outlook, Word, OneNote, Excel and PowerPoint
Expertise in advanced Excel skills is a plus
Series 7 and 66 licenses required
