SSD Validation Senior Engineer

Directs and coordinates engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices. Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and phases of test operations. Coordinates operational, functional and performance phases of tests. Analyzes and interprets test data. Prepares technical reports of for use by engineering personnel.

Provide subject matter expertise on NVMe and PCIe protocols as utilized by Enterprise NVMe SSDs. Leverage these skills on triage and FA investigations across the entire test bed and product range.Own assigned test pool from test request through results analysis and reporting.Leverage a customer focused attitude toward delivering consistent and thorough test data and analysis.Perform first and second-level triage on test failures to aid in root cause analysis. Own failures in assigned test pool through fix validation and closure.Collaborate across functions to innovate new solutions to execution, triage/analysis, and reporting of test data.Work to provide continued automation of test execution, triage, and reporting tasks throughout validation.Mentor junior engineers on all matters execution, triage, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related discipline. Without degree, looking for 5+ additional years of related work experience.Minimum 10 years experience in electronics test environment, preferably storage.Demonstrated experience with PCIe and NVMe protocols.Demonstrated experience with test triage and root cause of complex issues.Experience as team lead preferred, including track record of successful training/mentorship of others.Flexible schedule to accommodate changes to required test cycle start/end times.Must be available to work on-site at the Longmont lab full-time.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$133,000.00 - $227,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
