SSGA SPDR ETF Strategy & Research, 5 months Internship Program

The SPDR ETF Strategy & Research Team in Europe aims to be an indispensable link between Distribution and Investment worlds to help share information about market developments and how they impact our range of funds and help investors know about these. Our mission is to use market and economic information to explain how specific strategies may deliver in different environment and what sets our ETFs apart. We work with a variety of technologies and a very diverse dataset.

About the Internship program

Internship Program dates: 1st July2025 – 31st November 2025

We are looking for students who can work minimum 30 hours/week or full time (40 hours/week) and are interested to stay for permanent roles with us in the future.

You must be available to participate in the program in person, starting from day one and for its full duration.

What you will be responsible for

Assistance in preparation of databases and automated excel tools facilitating market analysis.Preparation of internal and external ETF specific analysis.Assistance in creation new and upgrading existing automated tools.Work closely with Strategists on preparation of research pieces on equity and fixed income strategies.Updating and upgrading market and product specific presentations.

What we value

These skills, preferred qualification will help you succeed in this role

Working towards a Bachelor's/Master's degree in an economic or quantitative subject (e.g. Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Databases or similar).Strong Excel Skills. Ability to work with large datasets. Experience with PowerPoint is a plus.Passionate about financial markets.Willingness to learn, “can do” attitude and focus on efficiency.Participation in a CFA program would be a plus.

Skill Development Opportunities

Broaden knowledge about financial markets with focus on exchange traded funds through working closely with Strategists and participating in various investment calls across SSGA.Develop technical skills and gain ability to analyse large datasets.Develop the ability to present findings in an efficient, concise and elegant manner.Develop in-depth familiarity with the range of SPDR ETFs and how they can serve various clients to meet their investment objectives.Build network of contacts across SPDR and the wider State Street Global Advisors.
