STA Site Engineer

In this position…

Ford Motor Company is looking for an experienced High Voltage Battery manufacturing professional to provide technical leadership and work with our battery suppliers to ensure quality products are produced for Ford EVs. In this position you will act as the main point of contact for quality, capacity, and program launch between Ford and our supply base.

You'll have…

Bachelor's in Engineering. Electrical or Chemical Engineering preferred, related fields are also considered. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality controls, or constraint managementExperience in project management and program launchAnalytical and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 80% of work weekUtilize reasoning skills to effectively interpret and apply STA processes

Even better, you may have…

Master’s degree in Electrical or Chemical EngineeringBattery or electrical systems experience

What you'll do…

Manage supplier launch readiness assessments and ensure compliance to launch milestonesReview supplier process documentation for proper failure modes and controlsEvaluate capacity at suppliers and sub-suppliersDrive cross-functional discussions with teams including purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and qualityAnalyze supplier capability data and drive continuous improvement utilizing statistical toolsDeep dive supplier quality issues for containment and root cause utilizing problem solving principlesEffectively organize and communicate supplier details in management level reviews
