What you'll do:

Adjust and operate sheet metal stackers, electrostatic waxer, waxing machine, bundle turners and related equipmentRemove stacked metal from stacking equipmentClean machines and equipment using belts, wire and guidesVisually inspect coated sheet metal, remove defective sheets missing coating or litho, off-color, drip marks, bends, scratches, dirt, and/or damaged; record defectsSelect proper skids and dispose of loaded skidsAssist Operator in setting up coating machine and changing coating rollsAssist Mechanic in routine adjustments of belts and wicketsPerform adhesion test on inside coating; mark load and notify Supervisor when problems occurRecord process and production data, monitor process control charts, take corrective action if necessaryUse digital thickness gauge to measure coated sheetBanding loads of metalStraighten wicketsClean equipment and machines as requiredCheck, inspect, re-inspect and gauge materials as requiredMatch coating colors to required standardsRecord and process production data for use in SPC process, using SPC tools and other techniquesCommunicate between fellow workers and supervisors needed information to keep process flowing to qualify and production standardsFollow all Plant food safety procedures
