Cleaners perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring light, medium, and heavy physical effort in cleaning and caring for an assigned area on campus. Areas include: + Academic and office buildings + Athletic facilities, + Student and community center + Student residence halls, + Health center + Adjacent grounds and sidewalks. Cleaners work independently, and as part of a work team, performing a wide range of specialized and routine cleaning activities such as: + Stripping and polishing floors + Window washing + Vacuuming + Trash and recycling removal + Dusting and cleaning walls. Work requires cleaning specialized areas within buildings such as; office spaces, kitchens, common areas, lounges, laundry rooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and laboratories. This job classification is non-supervisory. Job Requirements: + Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor. + Must be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. Additional Information: + Permanent and Temporary position(s) available - can be either full-time (40 hrs/wk) or part-time (20 - 30 hrs/wk).
