Essential Functions + Accounts Receivable: Manage and process customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. + Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records of all payables. + Bank Statement Review: Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. + Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile credit card transactions and ensure proper allocation of expenses. + Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems. + Prepare and issue checks for payments and maintain petty cash accounts. + Payroll Assistance: Assist with payroll processing, including data entry and verifying accuracy of employee hours. + Intercompany Transactions: Handle and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure proper accounting between related entities. + Financial Statement Assistance: Assist in the preparation of quarterly, mid-year, and year-end financial statements. + General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions. + Check Management: Assist in managing and tracking the issuance of checks and related documentation. + Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value. + Reporting Assistant Qualifications + 1-3 years of Accounting acumen experience + Construction industry experience highly preferred + Excellent written and verbal skills. + Knowledge of Excel and related products + Ability to self-perform all duties with little guidance. + Multitasking skills + Effective organization and communication skills. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office and jobsite setting. The position requires extensive client interfacing and requires rotation between remote and physical work environment. This position uses standard office equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maintain a stationary position, ascend/descend and traverse. The position also requires frequent use of computers and other office productivity machinery. At times, duties may involve transporting items of appx. 25 pounds and working around outdoor weather conditions. The position is expected to require prolonged periods of communication, perceiving, and expressing oneself. Position Type This is a full-time position. Travel >1% local travel is expected for this position.
