This position is responsible for invoice processing, general ledger entries, and reconciliation, which spans various campuses: Baton Rouge, Law, AgCenter, Pennington, and Veterinary Medicine. This position is over the communication, billing, disbursement, and reconciliation of student Greek charges. This position participates in registration for the 10 registration terms to assist a customer base of 35,000+ by providing customer service via email, phone, virtually, and face-to-face. 30% Prepare CARD entries to record monthly credit card statements, credit card chargebacks, monthly credit card fees, and other entries as directed. Process the monthly credit card statement and distribute to departments. Reconcile the Bursar general ledger clearing account for bank draft and credit card payments. Work with Greek organizations to add charges to Fee Bills, release monthly disbursements, and reconcile monthly. Process credit card chargebacks utilizing the online portal for the merchant services provider. 30% Participate in the Bursar's Office registration process for 10 terms annually. Provides assistance to students, parents, and departments regarding the registration process and general account inquiries. Assistance is provided daily by phone, email, virtually, and in person. Must be able to interpret a customer's record, give a complete and accurate explanation of the account, and if needed, refer the customer to the appropriate department for further explanation, information, and resolution. Provide the listing of MBA students to departments each semester. Prepare the year-end MBA revenue distribution entry. 30% Process daily CARD entries for accounts receivable, registration, miscellaneous (MOT), and sponsor payments. Process stop payment requests. Reconcile the credit card/bank draft clearing account monthly. Prepare the year-end Undistributed Activity Fee revenue entry for manually adjusted accounts. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager. 10% Communicate with departments when there is a temporary one-time need to process payment card transactions and prepare general ledger entries. Assist Manager with establishing user IDs and passwords. Physical Qualifications: This position requires the physical ability and eye-hand coordination necessary to use a computer terminal, calculator, laptop, tablet, copier, telephone, and other office equipment. This position requires the ability to sit in the same position for extended periods (3.5 to 4 hours) at a time using continuous hand motions when using a calculator or entering data into the computer system. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively through the use of phone, email, and direct contact with individuals (including conducting training sessions and presentations). Scheduled or non-scheduled overtime may be required to meet the needs of the division. Occasional travel may be required. Leave may not be permitted during critical times. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field with at least 24 hours of accounting. 2 years of applicable experience can be substituted for the 24 hours of accounting.
