POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant will assist and support the Accounting Department with key accounting functions including entering and validating transactions and reconciling complex accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze and evaluate accounts with heavy volumeAssist in coordinating and monitoring corporate check deposits and related accountingPrepare journal entries, as neededPrepare month-end general ledger account reconciliationsPerform month-end close processes, as assignedCommunicate and collaborate with various teams throughout the organizationAssist with projects, compliance, and other accounting or treasury functions, as needed

REQUIREMENTS

BS/BA degree in Business Administration - AccountingOne plus years of accounting experience with working knowledge of the month-end close process Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalHighly organized, attention to detail, self-starterStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to create efficiencies and improve processExpert skills in MS Excel working with large data sets, including the ability to utilize the following functions: V-Lookup, H-Lookup, concatenating formulas, conditional formatting, and Pivot Tables.Experience with Workday general ledger a plus
