Description Robert Half is actively seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant for a dynamic and reputable client. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and verify financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. + Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. + Reconcile GL accounts, bank statements, and credit card accounts. + Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. + Work closely with other departments to gather financial data and provide reporting insights. + Assist with preparing documentation for audits and support external auditors as needed. + Maintain and improve internal controls and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency. + Manage and reconcile accounts payable/receivable entries when required. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 2+ years of accounting experience (public or private). + Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms. + Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis. + Solid understanding of GAAP principles and general ledger systems. + Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. + Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with ERP systems is a plus. + CPA certification or progress toward certification is highly desirable.
