Description Are you passionate about numbers and detail-oriented? Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a dynamic and growing organization in San Diego, CA. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the company’s financial operations by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes. Responsibilities: + Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. + Perform month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting. + Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring compliance with company policies. + Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other general ledger accounts. + Assist with audits by providing required documentation and supporting analysis. + Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. + Develop and implement internal controls to improve efficiency and compliance. + Aid in budgeting and forecasting processes. + Stay updated with relevant regulations and accounting standards, ensuring full compliance in all activities. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 3+ years of experience + Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel. + CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal.
