Description Staff Accountant (Grant Experience is a plus) Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with experience managing and reporting on grants. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and maintain financial records related to grants, including tracking expenditures and budgets + Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements + Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting + Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain documentation + Support audits by providing accurate and timely documentation related to grants + Work closely with program managers to monitor grant spending and allocations + Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and journal entries as needed + Help prepare invoices, budget modifications, and financial reports for funders Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field + 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with grant or nonprofit accounting + Strong knowledge of GAAP and grant compliance regulations (e.g., federal or foundation grants) + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Excel + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively + Available to start immediately!
