Find out more at www.TransdevNA.com or watch an overview video at https://youtu.be/ilO5cv0G4mQ  We are Now Hiring a Staff Accountant in Miami, FL!    Responsibilities:  Preparation and review of client billings and the required support documentationReview contractors’ bills for accuracy and completeness and submit for payment request approval.Ensure client billings are issued timely and accurately.Daily review of AR Aging scheduling, outstanding balances, and unapplied cash receiptsPrepare monthly report reconciling AP invoices with client billings support documentation.Prepare revenue accruals for review by Business Unit Accounting ManagerMaintain revenue related workpapers (to be reviewed and approved by accounting manager)Maintain and track all costs related to construction projects.Research and resolve invoice and billing disputes with contractors.Audit assigned trial balance accounts while maintaining reconciliation workpapers.Maintain files on contracts, warranties, insurance policies.Prepare reports as necessary and directed by Accounting ManagerOther duties as assigned Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 2-3 years of accounting experience including accrual accounting, cost accounting preferred Construction industry experience a plus Strong knowledge of construction accounting, cost controls, and job costing preferredAbility to understand complex billing and job costing concepts a mustProficient in MS Office products, including Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat  Knowledge of automated account system such as J.D. Edwards System Experience in Construction Industry government contracts preferred Ability to work on-site Monday- Friday and travel local amongst office sites as needed.    The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
