Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in northern Cincinnati, The role primarily revolves around handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial data while working in a dynamic workplace. This is a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication • Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable activities including billing, payment processing, and customer communication • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy • Maintain the general ledger by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions • Prepare journal entries and account adjustments • Ensure timely completion of month-end close processes • Leverage Oracle and SAP software for accounting operations and financial management • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Knowledge of General Ledger processes • Ability to prepare Journal Entries • Experience in Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in a large ERP • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • High attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Understanding of wholesale distribution industry is a plus.
