Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, diligent, and proactive Staff Accountant to join the Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, with a keen interest in the hospitality industry. This role demands exceptional proficiency in Excel, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
+ Develop, implement, maintain, and review internal financial controls and procedures.
+ Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reports, ensuring timely and accurate presentation of financial figures.
+ Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for all departments.
+ Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
+ Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper accounting of revenues, expenses, and inventory.
+ Leverage advanced Excel skills to create comprehensive financial models and reports.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
+ Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus but not required.
+ Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas) is mandatory.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
+ Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
+ A proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
