Staff Accountant
Description Our client, a leading international advocacy firm, is searching for their new Staff Accountant. This Staff Accountant position will be part of a stable and close-knit team led by a tenured Director. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for varied duties including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, A/P, invoicing and other accounting duties. In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with operations relating to various projects. Duties for this robust Staff Accountant position will include: + Preparation of general ledger entries, reconciliations and related operational accounting such as A/P + Actively participate in the Accounts Payable process including checks, ACHs, international wires, field office advances, payroll wires, and recording transactions in the accounting system. + Ensuring timely payment of invoices/transfers and communicate when there are issues with invoices or transfers. Identify prepaid expenses when processing invoices, maintain prepaid expense schedules, and prepare the monthly entry to record expenses and reconciliation. + Follow up with vendors when there are issues, returned payments, and outstanding checks that are not deposited. + Maintaining the vendor master file with up-to-date information and necessary documents. + Preparation of invoices for federal and non-federal awards including CPFF, cost reimbursement agreements, and fixed price contracts. + Working closely with the operations team to ensure proper billing for dues and products + Creating Excel spreadsheets to track and report various expenses + Preparing general ledger schedules to support the month end close and various audits + Assisting as necessary with accounting operations relating to the revenue cycle including posting cash and credit card receipts + Performing special projects as requested by the management team and assist with year-end audit support Our client offers medical benefits as part of their overall compensation package Please forward your resume in confidence to Raj Khanna, Senior Vice President at Robert Half or directly via LinkedIn for consideration for this or one of our other immediate openings.
