Description Nonprofit organization in Houston ins seeking an experienced Accountant with non-profit and Section 8 housing experience to manage AP processes, financial reporting, and compliance with HUD guidelines. Accountant Responsibilities: + Manage accounts payable and vendor payments. + Oversee financial operations for Section 8 housing programs and ensure compliance with HUD regulations. + Prepare monthly financial reports, grant tracking, and program budgets. + Reconcile tenant accounts, monitor housing assistance payments, and assist with audits. + Support month-end/year-end close and financial analysis for non-profit funding. Requirements Accountant Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required + 3-5 years of accounting experience in non-profits and Section 8 housing. + Proficiency in AP, financial reporting, and HUD regulations. + Experience with Yardi or similar software preferred. + Strong Excel and organizational skills.
