Staff Accountant
**Description** Join our Accounting team where you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of our accounting and administrative processes. Our Accounting and Admin Teams support our engineers, scientists and production staff in a fun, but fast-paced working environment. As a Staff Accountant you will work closely with the Admin and Accounting Team, as well as the Director of Finance. + **What you’ll do as a Staff Accountant** + Inventory Management, including cycle counts, analysis of stock status and WIP reports, inventory reconciliation + Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports + Work closely with other members of the AP and AR team to ensure compliance with GAAP and ARA policies + Creation and analysis of use fee reports + Creation and analysis of weekly labor and sales reports + Work with other members of the Admin and Accounting team to create work instructions and training documents + Management of assets + Monthly journal entries + Assist with annual budget preparation and tracking + Assist with product billing and collections + **Staff Accountant Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management with 2-4 years' experience; experience with Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sharepoint + **Staff Accountant Preferences** + Experience with Costpoint or similar Accounting and Manufacturing software; knowledge of Smartsheet, Power BI **C** **ompany & Division Information** Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
