This position is remote with in-office department meetings as needed. Currently, in-office meetings take place approximately two (2) times per month.
Staff Accountant Overview:
The Staff Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. This individual prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information; documents financial transactions by entering account information; monitors variances/inaccuracies, implements corrective action when necessary while adhering to state, local and federal laws and regulations. ResponsibilitiesStaff Accountant:
Performs monthly financial accounting and financial analysis for assigned companies by:generating financial statementsexplaining variances to budget and trendpresenting operating results to facility leadership and executive teamAssists with monthly financial close for several companies including:expense accruals/adjustmentsbalance sheet reconciliationstrend and financial analysisactual production of internal financial statements for operatorsexternal financial statements for lendersWorks with facility personnel including administrators and department heads concerning monthly financial reports and budget comparisons.Assists in the preparation of annual budgets, audit work papers and schedules for external auditors.Assists with special projects as needed. QualificationsStaff Accountant:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldMinimum of three (3) years of experienceDemonstrated proficiency with computer usage and applications such as Microsoft Office and Great Plains accounting systemWorking knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) EOE Statement WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
