Staff Accountant
Staff AccountantJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role offers job security, opportunities for title and compensation growth. The position is based in an office setting with a production line located in the basement. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the CFO and work Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. This is an in-person role, with comprehensive training provided. Responsibilities + Process approximately 100 invoices per week. + Perform reconciliations, cash reports, and ensure compliance with GAAP. + Utilize strong Excel skills for various accounting tasks. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records. Hard Skills + Excel: Proficient in using Excel for accounting purposes. + Accounts Payable: Experience in processing a high volume of invoices. + Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP, reconciliations, and cash reports. Soft Skills + Independence: Ability to solve problems independently and work without close supervision. + Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail in all tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must-Haves: + Proficiency in Excel. + Experience with accounts payable and bookkeeping. + Ability to work independently. + Nice-to-Haves: + Knowledge of ERP systems. + Experience with reconciliations and system development. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or five years of related experience. + Strong mathematical and analytical skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. + Capable of independent work.
