Staff Accountant
Job Title: Staff Accountant (3 month contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. This role involves preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, as well as assisting with monthly close processes. The ideal candidate will perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, assist with financial disclosure reporting, and respond to information requests. Additionally, this role includes reviewing financial statements, assisting with audits, and preparing internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.Assist with monthly close processes and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Assist with financial disclosure reporting to corporate.Respond to information requests and review financial statements.Assist with audits and prepare internal and external financial statements.Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.Maintain and update the ERP fixed asset register, depreciation (tax and accounting), CIP, and match to supporting documentation and month end reconciliation.Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.Assist the accounting manager as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.2+ years of accounting experience.Experience with Great Plains, B1, JDE or equivalent ERP system preferred.Strong numeracy and analytical skills.Good problem-solving and time management skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with general ledger and journal entry.Proficiency in maintaining financial records and reports.Ability to perform account reconciliations.Experience in assisting with audits and maintaining relevant accounting documentation.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00
