Description
A publicly-traded world leader in technology, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their headquarters accounting team in Philadelphia. As part of the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization, this role is responsible for performing monthly accounting activities as well as supporting standardization, process improvement, and optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities
•\tExecute business unit accounting activities, including:
o\tWorking within various ledgers in SAP
o\tPreparing journal entries
o\tPerforming account reconciliations using Blackline software
o\tPerforming other account analyses as required
o\tExecuting financial reporting close activities in accordance with the month-end close calendar and checklist
o\tReconciling intercompany transactions domestically and internationally
•\tPromptly respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders
•\tSupport internal and external audit activities
•\tIdentify process improvement opportunities and technology enablers, and contribute to improvement projects as requested
•\tEnsure compliance with US GAAP and company policies, procedures and internal control environment
•\tProactively take ownership of workload and escalate issues timely
•\tProactively monitor and achieve deadlines, and communicate instances where deadlines cannot be met in a timely fashion
•\tAssist with the creation and modification of training programs and content (as needed)

Additional Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVES
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience within a US GAAP setting with functions related to month end close such as journal entries and reconciliations
- 2+ years of experience working with SAP
- 2+ years of experience with creating pivot tables, vlookups, data manipulations and advanced formulas within Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
NICE TO HAVE
- 2+ years of experience in a publicly-traded or global organization
- Experience working in FI, BPC Consolidation, and blackline

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00
