Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Service industry for a Staff Accountant based in San Diego, California, United States. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks, with a focus on transaction tax function, General Ledger accounts, and business transactions. Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with multiple states and local transaction tax reporting requirements for various entities • Administer and maintain the transaction tax function • Manage and organize tax data within the accounting system • Prepare, review and post sales tax journal entries, ensuring information accuracy • Perform monthly reconciliations of intercompany transactions and international bank transactions • Review and code expense reimbursements within the Concur system • Prepare and issue Quarterly Loan Account Statements for shareholders, owners, and other loan account holders • Analyze income statement fluctuations and present the findings • Provide support for audits and tax through the generation of accurate reports, schedules, and documents • Participate in the month-end close process and other accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary. • Familiarity with the General Ledger is required. • Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is essential. • Experience with Sales Tax computations and filings is needed. • Knowledge of QAD accounting software is beneficial. • Prior experience with Intercompany Accounting is a plus.
