We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the U.S. Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing daily financial operations. Your growth and development in this role could lead to exciting career advancement opportunities at ITW. **What You'll Do:** + Take full ownership of the accounts payable process by posting journal entries, maintaining accounting periods, and ensuring accurate cost allocations. + Manage vendor relationships and invoice processing under the 80/20 principles for 1099 issuance. + Maintain CAPEX reports by accurately coding fixed assets to their respective projects for effective Job Cost reporting. + Analyze leased machine costs and complete property tax assessments, matching them against our customer machine base. + Oversee and report sales and use tax on accounts payable items. + Gather and analyze financial data to prepare monthly journal entries, ensuring timely completion of month-end closing procedures. + Perform account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, addressing any discrepancies. + Play a role in developing and monitoring company internal controls. + Assist with other tasks as needed to support the finance team. **What you need to have:** + A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; recent graduates eager to advance their careers are welcome. + 2-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting. + Proficiency in standard office tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. + A solid understanding and ability to apply GAAP for compliance and reporting. + Strong communication skills and a collaborative, self-directed work style. + Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet deadlines efficiently. **Why ITW?** Become part of a team that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
