Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Staff Accountant to join the corporate finance and accounting team in our Raleigh, NC headquarters.

We are seeking an energetic individual with strong attention to detail who will act as an integral member of the accounting team. This position will provide support to offices throughout the country.

This is an in-office position

Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently complete general ledger account reconciliationsReview a high volume of transactions for accuracy and reconciliation purposesPrepare general ledger journal entriesFollow detailed written instructions to prepare monthly and annual financial reportsResearch and otherwise assist with ad-hoc special projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant majorMinimum 2 years of corporate GL/staff accounting experience or equivalentIntermediate level proficiency in ExcelAbility to analyze processes or problems and pursue incremental, stepwise improvementDisplay sound decision-making regarding materiality as it relates to reconciliation discrepancies and other errorsSeamlessly share responsibilities with teammates Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, seeking to understand the work of others and taking on additional work responsibilitiesManage workload and stress levels efficiently and professionallySound communication and interpersonal skills

Office hours are 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 11:30am Friday.
