Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing financial processes. This position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role, with opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation and deductions.Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting.Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Participate in audits by preparing required documentation and addressing inquiries.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.A minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
