Job Description
This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties to ensure accurate and timely completion of work within the Finance Department. The role actively supports the achievement of the Company by performing a variety of higher-level accounting duties and responsibilities. It promotes and protects core values including teamwork and respect for others to maintain a positive work environment. The Staff Accountant builds and maintains positive working relationships within the Department, the Division, and the Company through professional interactions.
ResponsibilitiesMonth-end close and year-end close for the divisions assigned.Prepare financial statements including Balance Sheets and Income Statements.Reconcile General Ledger accounts and investigate any unreconciled differences.Prepare journal entries including proper General Ledger account, department, division, and project cost coding.Maintain monthly amortization schedules.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any unreconciled differences.Calculate monthly sales commissions.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets (sales and expense).Complete other government forms as assigned.Assist various other departments with accounting-related issues (e.g., G/L coding questions).Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting.Minimum of three years' experience in Accounting.Proficiency in SAP is a plus.Strong computer skills and the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.Ability to create and/or maintain Excel spreadsheets using formulas.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Attention to detail is a must.Experience with multiple entities is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsJournal entriesGeneral ledgerMonth-end close processYear-end closeBank reconciliationsAccount reconciliationsFinancial statements (Balance Sheets and Income Statements)Fixed assets (Amortization schedules)Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)Experience with manipulating large data setsERP experience, particularly SAPWork Environment
The role is fully onsite with no flexibility. The team size includes 9 members, including a Director and Supervisor. The position requires working in a collaborative and professional environment where maintaining a positive and respectful work culture is essential. The company size ranges from $100M to $300M.

The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $77000.00
