Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and self-sufficient Staff Accountant to join a thriving company in the Retail/Manufacturing industry. This is a high-volume position that requires strong organizational skills, an ability to handle large amounts of data entry, and a keen focus on accounts receivable (AR) processes. Key Responsibilities: + Handle a high volume of AR tasks, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts. + Support accounts payable (AP) functions by processing vendor invoices and payments with accuracy and timeliness. + Perform data entry for AP and AR transactions, ensuring all records are complete and error-free. + Conduct AR aging analysis and manage collection efforts to ensure timely payments. + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. + Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. + Collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency in AP/AR workflows. + Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 2+ years of experience in a high-volume accounting environment, preferably within Retail or Manufacturing. + Strong proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail. + Solid understanding of AP and AR processes and general accounting principles. + Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). + Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
