Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the accounting sector for a Staff Accountant to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. The role involves managing routine accounting transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in balancing affiliated contracts. Responsibilities: • Accurately manage medical director payments and contract labor accruals. • Ensure the timely closure of ledgers by participating in monthly accounting activities. • Support the division in various initiatives as required. • Assist with special projects assigned from time to time. • Conduct account reconciliations, trend analysis, and completeness checks. • Manage journal entries and research the general ledger. • Utilize computer literacy skills, including Excel, Word, and related accounting/accounts payable/payroll systems. • Apply knowledge of SAP or Oracle as needed. • Maintain a strong organization and analytical skillset. Requirements • Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Applicant must have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Familiarity with General Ledger tasks is a must. • Applicant should be skilled in making Journal Entries. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary. • Knowledge of Oracle is a requirement. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
