Your success is what's next with Custom Truck One Source. **Summary** The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting functions related to accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analyzing accounts for accuracy in accordance with GAAP. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** List the primary essential job duties and responsibilities. + Prepare journal entries and imports throughout the month and assist with monthly close. + Analyze account balances, prepare reconciliations, and propose adjusting entries as needed. + Assess efficiency and effectiveness of business and accounting processes. Investigate best practices, suggest improvements, and assist with implementation of process changes. + Assist with the year-end audit, providing detailed reconciliations, roll-forwards and analyses of account balances and trends. + Initiate and maintain process documentation for all areas of responsibility. Update as needed. + Review financial statements assist with monthly and annual close. + Ensure that all reconciliations and accompanying account analysis schedules adhere the Company’s internal control policies. + Skillfully use computerized accounting and financial management systems. + Identify problem areas or situations, evaluate root cause(s), and take appropriate action to resolve issues. + Other analysis and special projects as assigned. **Required Skills and Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree (B.
