Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Non-Profit industry based in Fontana, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This role not only requires proficiency in accounting tasks, but also demands the ability to handle audit preparations and schedules. Responsibilities: • Managing and ensuring the accuracy of Accounts Payable (AP) • Handling and maintaining Accounts Receivable (AR) • Conducting regular bank reconciliations • Maintaining and updating the General Ledger • Preparing and handling audit schedules • Assisting in audit preparations • Processing journal entries in a timely and accurate manner • Participating in month-end close processes • Utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the non-profit sector • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management • Demonstrated experience with bank reconciliations • Strong knowledge of General Ledger management • Ability to accurately prepare and review journal entries • Familiarity with the month-end close process • Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
