Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role involves a range of accounting functions, financial data processing, and reporting within the industry. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process accounting transactions • Maintain, investigate, and adjust accounting information in a timely manner • Analyze data for completeness, material changes, variances, and other pertinent details • Prepare information for use by others using an appropriate methodology • Contribute ideas for improving assigned work projects and other process enhancements • Troubleshoot problems by understanding the flow of information and the use of financial systems and reporting tools • Uphold adherence to the company's internal control framework • Assist in various accounting and financial reporting projects as needed • Participate in documenting business processes, identifying control deficiencies, testing identified controls, and mapping internal financial statements to business processes. Requirements • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve financial queries and issues. • Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial analysis and reporting. • Experience in preparing and presenting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting. • Skilled in drafting Financial Notes and conducting detailed Financial Analysis. • Ability to interpret complex financial data and identify deficiencies • Previous experience working within Oracle is a plus • Broad knowledge of Accounting Functions and handling Financial Data. • Familiarity with high-volume account reconciliations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
