Description We are seeking an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Harrisburg area. This role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or professionals early in their accounting career to gain foundational experience in finance and accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a passion for numbers, and a desire to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: + Perform daily general accounting functions, including data entry of financial transactions and maintenance of accurate records. + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. + Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with industry standards. + Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ledgers. + Support senior accounting staff with audits, financial reporting, and special projects as needed. + Maintain and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. + Utilize ERP or accounting software to track financial data and generate reports (training provided). + Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or inquiries. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and a willingness to learn ERP accounting software. + Excellent analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Desire to obtain professional certifications, such as CPA, is a plus (employer support available). + Prior internship or co-op experience in accounting is preferred but not required.
