Job Description:

This is an onsite position located in Champaign IL

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform daily cash management duties, including recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to accounts receivable sub-ledger.Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers based on contracts, purchase orders, or sales agreements.Maintain accurate customer account records, including credits, adjustments, and refunds.Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to address customer concerns related to billing, while creating a positive, high quality customer service experience to all stakeholders, both internal and external.Monitor and collect accounts receivable and past-due accounts by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail.Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring all AR transactions are recorded accurately.Support other accounting functions within the department as needed. Ie: bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysisMaintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are reconciled.Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring timely collections, and supporting the month-end closing process.Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process by collaborating interdepartmentally and with other internal teams to identify areas of performance improvement.Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements.

 

 

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required.Prior experience in accounts receivable strongly preferred.Proven ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and identify solutions.Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to effectively communicate, prioritize, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Experience in accounting ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Drive.Strong attention-to-detail, organizational skills, time management skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines with thorough follow through.Acts with integrity, including handling confidential and sensitive information.Demonstrates strong mathematical skills.

 

 

 

Physical Requirements: 

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is: $54,800-$82,800 annually

 

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.
