Staff Accountant
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Legal industry based in CINCINNATI, Ohio. In your role, you will be tasked with maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing complex journal entries, and carrying out general ledger reconciliations. This role also necessitates involvement in internal reporting during the monthly close and the creation of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities: • Conduct complex journal entries and account reconciliations such as cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll. • Generate monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting. • Engage in the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process, including the preparation of the monthly financial close workbook. • Handle the fixed asset ledger, including depreciation and reconciliation. • Perform month end balance sheet account reconciliations. • Execute month end close and journal entries independently. • Maintain and reconcile recurring journal entries. • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation. • Analyze a variety of financial data and present it in a clear and comprehensible manner. If you are interested in this opportunity or other Direct Hire opportunities through Robert Half please call Carolyn Barnett at 513.810.3821 Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of a Staff Accountant, preferably within the legal industry. • Proficiency in managing General Ledger is required. • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory. • The candidate should have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is required. • The applicant must have good communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders. • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required. • The candidate should have a problem-solving attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
