The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in our client's Finance Department, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day accounting activities, data entry tasks, and collaboration with the Finance Director and other finance staff members. In addition to exceptional healthcare benefits, you will also receive the following benefits: + EAP + 403b Retirement Plan with match + COLA increases + 10 days' vacation (accrues generously through the years) + 12 days' sick pay + 12 hours per year for self-care + 2 personal days for calendar year to use whenever + 12 scheduled holidays + 1 floating holiday + 2 days of paid community service + 2 weeks sabbatical after working there 6 years + DOG friendly office environment Responsibilities: • Undertake accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and receivable. • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliation of credit card entries. • Develop, prepare, and process invoices for grants and contracts while ensuring progress tracking. • Post transactions and disbursements to the general ledger with precision. • Collaborate with staff and management to devise and execute new procedures. • Prepare journal entries, including those recurring monthly. • Carry out reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts. • Allocate expenses to programs and monitor expenditures by revenue source. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and audit documentation. • Maintain effective communication with staff and managers to ensure compliance. • Manage spreadsheets and perform routine data entry tasks. • Conduct internal audits of pre-paid financial assistance cards. • Provide backup support to staff responsible for payroll and purchasing. • Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
