Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Restaurants & Catering industry based in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including the preparation of financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities: • Conducting financial reporting for operations to ensure accurate and up-to-date records • Facilitating the month-end close process to ensure timely completion • Performing comprehensive financial analysis to inform decision-making processes • Conducting variance analysis to identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments • Maintaining the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records • Monitoring inventory reports, resolving variances to ensure accuracy • Overseeing the month-end close process, including managing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals • Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records • Utilizing accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and Sage Intacct to manage accounts payable and receivable. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance • Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Knowledge of Oracle financial software system • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software • Previous experience in the Restaurants & Catering industry preferred • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
