Description We are offering an exciting hybrid job opportunity for a Staff Accountant, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, managing the preparation and review of journal entries, and maintaining efficient operating policies and procedures. Position open due to promotion. Responsibilities: • Ensure accuracy in the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations. • Maintain effective and efficient operating policies and procedures with an emphasis on continuous improvement. • Collaborate and partner with a wide variety of teams across the business to add value through data-driven financial insights. • Perform monthly close activities, maintaining accurate supporting documentation. • Review accounting transactions for appropriate accounting treatment according to US GAAP. • Respond timely to inquiries and support various business functions. • Participate in special projects as needed. • Carry out data entry tasks, including entering and posting in the General Ledger. • Handle other accounting tasks as assigned by accounting management. • Maintain utmost confidentiality when dealing with sensitive company information. Requirements • 1+ year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar is required • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's and other advanced functions • Demonstrable experience with General Ledger functionalities • Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately • Familiarity and understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
