Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in the accounting sector, specifically for a Staff Accountant, based in Greenville, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be joining a workspace that values efficiency and accuracy, particularly in handling customer applications and credit records. Responsibilities include: • Ensuring efficient and accurate execution of monthly accounting close procedures, specifically within the compensation area • Preparing consolidated monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting • Collaborating with business partners to ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls, and providing support for any special requests • Undertaking financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting • Providing in-depth analysis on financial results, including trends, performance metrics, and benchmarks • Assisting in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with both internal and external auditors • Preparing Balance Sheet account reconciliations • Striving to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process • Actively participating in various department-wide initiatives • Tackling ad-hoc projects as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required. • Must possess skills in Accounts Receivable (AR). • Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations is needed. • Demonstrated understanding of General Ledger is essential. • Ability to handle Journal Entries is a must. • Experience with Month End Close processes is required. • Must be familiar with NetSuite software. • Proficiency in Oracle is essential. • QuickBooks knowledge is a must-have. • Experience with SAP is required. • Standard Cost Accounting skills are necessary.
