Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position is within the finance industry and is based at our office location. As a Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial operations of our brands. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain the procedure for sales tax data formatting to comply with state regulations • Be responsible for the preparation of state sales tax returns • Undertake monthly reconciliation tasks and resolve any identified discrepancies • Provide support during Annual 1042s filings • Contribute to property tax filings • Involve in automation of sales tax data to expedite return filings • Engage in special projects as necessary • Supervise and ensure the accuracy of customer credit applications • Handle customer accounts and take necessary actions when required • Maintain precise customer credit records Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management • Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrable skills in conducting Bank Reconciliations • Solid understanding of General Ledger operations • Capability to accurately prepare and maintain Journal Entries • Experience in managing Month End Close procedures • Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software • Proficiency in using Oracle financial software • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks accounting software • Prior experience or knowledge of SAP financial software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
