Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to become a part of our team in the Energy/Natural Resources sector. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with various accounting duties such as processing AP invoice entries, keeping accurate records, and addressing inquiries. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and highly organized. Responsibilities: • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency. • Maintain precise customer credit records. • Address any customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed. • Oversee the entry of AP invoices, cash receipts, and accounts receivable. • Conduct account reconciliations and ensure all financial data aligns. • Generate and maintain journal entries demonstrating a clear understanding of GL account mechanics. • Apply your intermediate Excel skills to reference and link multiple workbooks. • Use various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. • Engage in month-end close processes ensuring all financial reports are accurate. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management • Ability to prepare accurate Journal Entries • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Understanding of the energy/natural resources industry is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
