Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Wadsworth, Ohio. In this role, you will be handling a variety of accounting functions, including the preparation of reconciliations, period closes, and projections. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity that involves managing records of financial transactions, including accounts payables, receivables collections, and cash applications. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) collections • Conduct bank reconciliations for financial accuracy • Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger • Oversee month-end close procedures and ensure timely completion • Conduct regular audits to validate financial information and procedures • Maintain balance sheets and ensure they reflect accurate financial status • Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and presentation • Ensure all accounting practices are in line with GAAP Accounting principles. Requirements • The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role. • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • The applicant should have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Familiarity with General Ledger tasks is a must. • The ability to carry out Journal Entries accurately is required. • Experience in Month End Close activities is necessary. • Prior experience in Audit processes is desirable. • The candidate should have the ability to manage and maintain Balance Sheets. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a crucial requirement for this role. • A sound understanding of GAAP Accounting principles is necessary.
