Staff Accountant
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves executing entry-level accounting and reconciliation tasks within the health services division, with a focus on handling various forms of payments and collections. The Staff Accountant will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations and records. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process various forms of payments and collections, including cash, debit and credit cards, ACH, and checks. • Review, research, and prepare daily summary deposit forms, submitting them to the central finance office. • Monitor deposit denials from the central finance office, identifying and addressing coding issues with the respective departments. • Collaborate with the central finance accounting to resolve any issues related to Regions Bank deposits. • Regularly communicate with the manager and administrator regarding collections and escalate deposit issues when necessary. • Generate reports from the Loomis, LLC secure website on deposits and bank website for checks, ensuring follow-up with departments. • Code and post all received monies from the Health Services Division Bureaus to the proper accounts. • Maintain regular interactions with all Health Services Division Bureau departments to ensure all funds are accurately accounted for. • Assist SmartSafe users with safe troubleshooting issues and support travel activities when required. • Perform general office support activities and other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance and management • Expertise in creating and managing Journal Entries • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using NetSuite software • Familiarity with Oracle financial software • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software • Knowledge of SAP financial software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
