Description We are looking to add a Staff Accountant to our team, based in MEMPHIS, Tennessee, 38105-5041, United States. The primary role involves entry-level accounting and reconciliation duties, along with the management of all forms of payments and collections. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the reconciliation of cash, debit card, credit card, ACH, and check payments.
• Take responsibility for the collection from all Division Bureaus.
• Prepare and submit Daily Summary Deposit forms to the central Finance Office.
• Identify and address coding issues within the central Finance Office, resolving all bank deposit issues.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding collection and deposit issues.
• Manage reports from secure websites on deposits and follow up with departments.
• Ensure proper coding and posting of all monies received from Division Bureaus.
• Work closely with all Division Bureau departments to ensure accurate accounting of all funds.
• Provide support for SmartSafe users with safe troubleshooting issues.
• Assist with travel requests and provide support for travel activities.
• Carry out general office support activities.
• Perform other related duties as directed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately
• Familiarity with maintaining and managing the General Ledger
• Capability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Proven experience with Month End Close processes
• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks
• Experience with Oracle software in a financial context
• Knowledge of QuickBooks for accounting and finance functions
• Familiarity with SAP for financial management
