Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor, Americas and is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions for the North American region. The Staff Accountant will assist with the day-to-day accounting functions, month-end closings, and analyze data to ensure that the general ledger is complete and accurate.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the Americas Accounting team by preparing and recording monthly journal entries.Maintain accuracy of schedules for Prepaid Expenses, Prepaid Insurance, Accrued Property Taxes, Other Assets, and Accrued Liabilities.Analyze general ledger accounts and ensure financial compliance and accuracy.Prepare account reconciliations with supporting documentation for Americas Shared Service Center’s balance sheets.Support internal and external audit requests.Ensure Global Accounting Policies are being applied within assigned areas of responsibility.Complete various financial reporting surveys.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting.1-3 years of experience in accounting. Candidates with less than 1 year of experience will be considered if they have relevant internship experience.Experience with SAP is beneficial but not required.Experience in a manufacturing environment doing month-end work and account reconciliations is ideal.Additional Skills & QualificationsEagerness and willingness to learn.Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment.Work Environment

The role offers a flexible working environment with the ability to work from home two days a week. The office environment is business casual and requires a commitment to working additional hours during peak times of the month. The team includes an accounting manager and two Sr accountants.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
