Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant for our growing client in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is within the accounting industry and will be a critical part of our team, offering broad exposure across numerous areas. You will have the opportunity to work directly with leaders in the Accounting & Finance Team and team members across various branches. This role is hybrid, allowing flexibility to work from home two days a week. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions to maintain an up-to-date accounting ledger • Handle Fixed Assets, which includes tracking additions, disposals, depreciation and related journal entries, and reconciliations • Manage weekly cash and monthly bank reconciliations • Oversee corporate credit cards across all locations, including ordering new/replacement cards as required • Perform accounting adjustments on Construction Projects in collaboration with the Accounting Manager and Business Unit leaders • Carry out general accounting journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations • Process Payroll journal entries and monthly benefits payments, and conduct related account reconciliations • Foster strong relationships with the internal management team and local accounting teams • Attend relevant training sessions and meetings • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required. Qualified candidates contact Daniel Shomo Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar • Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations • Demonstrated experience in handling General Ledger • Capacity to prepare and record Journal Entries accurately • Experience in performing Month End Close tasks • Knowledge of Oracle software for accounting purposes • Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software.
