Description We are in need of a meticulous Staff Accountant in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry, located in Mission Viejo, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with managing community association accounting and maintaining financial records. Responsibilities: • Accurately process 20-30 financial transactions per month • Manage two separate bank accounts related to the community association • Maintain and update prepaid expenses and accounts receivable • Monitor and manage accounts payable and insurance payable • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all financial transactions • Handle bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy • Manage a volume of approximately 40 transactions per month • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to the financial records • Ensure all financial operations align with the current financial legislation • Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations. Requirements • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant is required. • Strong knowledge and experience in performing bank reconciliations. • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of the latest bookkeeping regulations and procedures. • Experience in preparing financial reports and statements. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound financial decisions. • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
