\n\t\t\t\t\tPosition Overview: The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing senior-level accounting functions, including cash, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), retail accounting, audit, and fuel accounting functions. This role provides direct support to the Controller and involves preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading junior accounting staff.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Reporting and Analysis:\n•\tPrepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.\n•\tAnalyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.\n•\tAssist with the development and establishment of new accounting policies and procedures related to process and system changes.\nAccount Reconciliation:\n•\tReconcile account balances and bank statements to ensure accuracy.\n•\tMaintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.\nAudit Coordination and Compliance:\n•\tCoordinate and assist with internal and external audits.\n•\tPrepare documentation for external auditors and coordinate semi-annual audits.\n•\tEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.\n•\tAssist with compliance reviews.\nAccounts Payable and Receivable:\n•\tPerform and/or lead cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fuel accounting functions.\n•\tPrepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.\n•\tAssist with reconciling, auditing, and researching daily store paperwork and site-level discrepancies.\nMonth-End and Year-End Close:\n•\tPerform month-end and year-end close processes.\n•\tPrepare assigned schedules for interim and annual audits.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
